I am about to publish my first book titled, Overcoming Adversity Through The Things Of God The word of God tells us to glorify God in all that we do (1 Corinthians 10:31). I am grateful to God for the opportunity to encourage others through the word of my testimony, and to utilize this blog to bring encouragement to the body of Christ!
Most of us have a plan or desire that we hope will come into fruition. God’s plan reigns supreme for those who follow Christ. We can rest assured that His plans are better than our own if we trust Him. That was the case with Paul when he was a prisoner on a ship headed to Rome in Acts 27. Paul had already warned the centurion that the trip was going to be disastrous. Further, Paul told the men that an angel of the God he serves stood beside him the night before and told him not to fear (vs. 24). Paul told the men, “’I have faith in God that it will happen just as he told me’” (Acts 27.25, NIV). Although Paul made this pronouncement, everyone began to make their own plans. The prisoners planned to escape on a lifeboat. The soldiers had planned to kill the prisoners to keep them from escaping, but Paul had found favor in the eyes of the centurion and that plan did not come to pass. In the end, God’s plan for Paul to arrive in Rome and to be placed on trial in front of Caesar came to pass. Paul trusted in God’s plan, and he did not doubt what he had been told by the angel of the Lord.
I hope that this encourages and comforts you to know that God’s plan for all our lives will come to pass and that there is nothing that will change the trajectory of your life if your trust is in God! God’s plans for you will come to pass, even when it feels like everything is falling to pieces.
Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV), “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
